Dear EBRoC Rower and Your Driver/Boat Sherpa- PLEASE READ THIS NOW AND READ IT CAREFULLY. PRINT OUT ANY COPIES YOU NEED FOR RACE DAY.

1) IMPORTANT- You must be a member in good standing of IROW to participate in this event. The individual membership dues are only $30/yr and besides rowing in this most auspicious event you also get a wicked good newsletter. If you mailed your IROW Membership application with a separate $30 check (or included it with your EBROC application) you are all set. The IROW Treasurer is going to verify your membership status tomorrow and will contact you if he hasn’t received your payment. If your payment is not received prior to the event your name will be scratched. Sorry folks- I have a waiting list. The IROW Member Form is attached.

2) The EBROC Roster is attached- sorted by last name. Please find your entry and check to be sure your name, age (or averaged ages), boat model, estimated finish time are correct. Please email any corrections by tomorrow as I have to submit the roster to the HOCR committee.

3) EBROC Regular Race Course Map and EBROC Emegency Short Course (used if inclement weather) are attached.

4) 2011 Final Instructions for you and your support crew. Please read this yourself and provide a copy of the directions for your driver to have that morning.

5) A final scratch (start order) sheet will be emailed to you by the end of this week.

6) You will receive only your bow number and parking permit on race morning.

Each boat must have

  1. bow number clip installed
  2. bailer (can be a simple bleach bottle)
  3. PFD/person

    Flashlight
When you arrive race morning it will be pitch black. Please bring a flash light and consider a head lamp as they leave your hands free to carry your equipment.

    Launching
Immediately following the skippers meeting you need to be organized to take your oars, boat, gloves, H20, etc. to the launch docks in one trip. Please do not leave equipment unattended once you walk onto the dock as it will cause delays. We will be launching 75 boats in approximately 15 minutes so your cooperation is appreciated. (It takes 2 people to carry- but some rec shells can be pre-rigged on shore with the oars already put in the oarlocks and the handles secured to the decks or cockpits with bungees- like Stars, Alden 16’s, 18’s. If you can help us out by doing this it would be greatly appreciated.)
