IROW Classification

Class I
hulls of 19'0" max length, 40 lbs min wt

Class II
hulls of 22' max length, 38 lbs min wt
Class III
hulls of 25'2" max length, 38 lbs min wt
The above are the classification for singles. Any shell that is longer than 25'2" or that weighs less than 38 lbs. Can NOT race in a recreational singles race.

Measuring Rec Singles:
Length is measured for bow to stern, along the deck, excluding the bow ball.  Weight is measured on a dry, fully rigged boat, excluding electronics, safety and personal yar.

Class I

Alden 16, Alden 18, Boston, Echo, Lightening, Olympian, Sprint, Trimline 19, Zephyr,
Class II
(22 feet max length, 38 lbs min)
Ocean Racer, Maas Aero, Fox, Alden Martin, Alden Star, Durham Rec Racer, Seashell, Vancouver 21, Hudson Cruiser, Peinert/Van Dusen Zephyr, WinTech Explorer
Class III
(25'2" feet length max, 38 lbs min)
Coffey, Maas 24, Vespoli Comp, Peinert Dolphin, Pocock Trainer, KingFisher, ProAm 25, Portage Bay 24, Rec Single, Timeaus 24, WinTech 24, Echo Ace
